"...And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more. " ~Dr. Seuss

As we all go about finishing the last minute touches of our holiday preparations, I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas. No matter how or with whom you celebrate, I hope there is peace and joy in your home and heart.

Best wishes to you and yours for the Christmas season. Hard to imagine what a Christmas in California must be like - in the UK looks set to be foggy and damp.

Thanks for the reminder of what Christmas really means. We need to shout this passage from the mountaintops more often.

love this little quilt - I have had to give in to the reality that it is now the 22nd of december and losing that 6 days means if I want peace, I will just need to be happy with what we have - a tree, gifts, lights, and heat!
thanks for the reminder

What a perfect post - and what a perfect wall hanging. I just love its simplicity and the fact that it's so "child like". To me that's the best of Christmas - to see it through the eyes of a child. Beautiful sights and smells, a season of joy and love, warmth and family togetherness. And very little to do with presents, etc. So many people dislike Christmas these days because they think it's too commercial. They just don't see that it's all in the viewpoint - one doesn't need to get caught up in all that at all. Just ignore it and focus on what's truly important. Have a wonderful holiday time Libby!
