Here is the sum of my work for the last couple of days. The majority of time was used in pressing the seams of the little hst's (I made far too many.) I also made three different center stars. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. In the process, I found that I very much enjoy piecing with a set-in seam and will explore making more of these blocks soon. Now to work on borders. The book I'm using shows a border that I like, but I think I will want to add another -- maybe even a little applique to soften up all the pointies.

Oh my - this is marvelous! What book are you using? Of course I ADORE the plaids! You're doing such a fabulous job. You know, I don't mind set in seams at all either. They aren't that big a deal once you learn the tricks. But just like appliqué - they've gotten a bad name so no one wants to try them.

I sure hope I have the book this is from!

Looks perfect Libby! I haven't done a lot of the set in seams but they are too bad really. Practice makes perfect and patience helps!

I think this will turn out fabulous! I saw all those tiny HST's when you showed the picture of you den sewing area and wondered what they were for!

very nice Libby. I have very little in plaids. It's something i don't think to buy. Your quilt will look fantastic.

Very Nice, boy did you whip those homespuns into shape! - mine waffled in basic plain straight seams...

Oh & so do not have the nerve to tackle any block that is so complicated - BRAVO!

Oh Libby
The sum total of your work is spectacular. I love it. The plaids of course are one of my favorite things. The design is breathtaking. Can't wait to see the borders.

you're the first person who I ever heard say they LIKED set-in seams! I'm not surprised since you are the hexagon queen LOL. the block and your work is beautiful as always.

What a beautiful item. I don't know if it is a quilt or quilted wall hanging. I really like the home feeling of it. Your work is wonderful.

What size is it? I am so not a plaid person but I like the block design minus the plaids.
