Squash Update . . . There is still no concrete answer on what the squash is. I think I will call it a zucorn - a zucchini /acorn hybrid. The bread turned out yummy. I took it with me to my quilt class last night and it's all gone. I did eat a slice hours before I shared it with others - so don't think I was trying to do them harm. I have picked a couple more and tonight I will steam them and serve with dinner.Today is Flag Day in the States. Not an official holiday - but a good reason to display your flag. I saw the pattern for this little wall hanging at a show and couldn't wait to get home and get it started. It hangs year round in our home office.

Excellent news on the zucorn front! Some things are good no matter how odd them might look...not odd but different maybe.

The flag wallhanging is great! On red striped walls??? Do share...

I really like squash. It's one of those vegetables I didn't know much about, but when I tried it, I knew I'd been missing it all my life.
The wall hanging looks terrific. Happy Flag Day to you!

What a great flag quilt. I don't think very many people know that it is flag day. Up at Job Corps today the kids had heard it on the radio and were talking about it. They didn't know what is was or why we would have a flag day. I hope not all of our country is like this.

The bread sounds yummy!

I really like those jars on your counter with your flours and what not in them, where do you find those at? I looked for some like that a while back and gave up...
The wide mouths are just so handy!

Hi, I absolutely love your flag wallhanging!!! Is there a pattern for it somewhere? My living room is decorated in vintage Americana and it would look perfect in there.

I love squash!! You must live somewhere warm year round to be harvesting it already.
