Now to sit back and enjoy the season. The stockings are hung. This little tree is usually in the kitchen, but this year has moved next to the dinner table.
A tree all decked with wooden ornaments that I painted back in the 90's. Their original fabric wrapped dowel tree has long since been tossed. It was a happy, happy day when I discovered I could use this old milk can for a tree stand.
For many years, this tree was our family tree. It was maligned by The Princess and her friends for being skinny and 'brown'. I LOVE this tree! Last year it moved to the bedroom and has a collection of animal ornaments.Last but not least . . . the big guy - full of all those wonderful memories of family, vacations and Christmas past.

I think maybe I'm starting to feel a little of the Christmas spirit.

I love your "skinny brown" tree. I have been looking for one for the last few years. Great job decorating. You can come do mine. I still have Halloween decorations up. :*(

Beautiful - of course! We are getting our tree up right now - I had to take a break because my back is hurting badly. Fred is hanging ornaments - I did the first large tub full so I don't feel at all bad that I'm resting for the moment. I decided not to put the tree out upstairs - I will spend no time at all up there between now and Christmas and I'm the only one who cares. Fred's stated he likes the feather tree best with no decorations, and since he so rarely expresses an opinion I've decided to oblige. That means the one main tree will be loaded to the gills. Fred said "we don't have to put all the ornaments on it." Sacriledge! Once this is done then all the decorating is finished. Awfully late this year due to the baby shower last weekend. Oh well - from now on I'll have all the time in the world to decorate for Christmas!

Can you sprinkle some of that Christmas spirit my way? I just can't seem to get into the mood. Haven't decorated one bit. Of course, with DH flat on his back I and Auntie in a hospital 1.5 hrs away, I haven't really had time to do anything extra. *sigh* It will be back to normal soon.

Love all your trees, Wasn';t quite sure what that first picture was off until I enlarged it. Cute.

I feel that way also. Put mine up today and it's just 4 ft. and only one.

Loved seeing your trees. And I love your skinny "brown" tree. I have a smaller one just like it in my living room with crocheted snowflakes that my Mom made on it.

Send a little Christmas spirit my way, please. We're having record warm temps (70 today) and it feels like spring, not Christmas. I have a wreath on the door and that's it so far. Love all your trees!

All your trees are wonderfully done. You've inspired me to get going on my decorating. I have one table top tree done. I needed a new tree this year due to lack of space, so I ordered one similar to your skinny tree and I will pick up Friday.

Libby, it looks like you have earned the rest after decorating several trees and getting ready for the season. How lovely!

I love your decorations! Your little tree in the milkcan is so neat! Makes me wish I had kept a milkcan I had. The quilt behind it is wonderful! Your home looks so inviting.
