Lately it seems as if I haven't had much to share in the way of quilt projects. Not for lack of things that are in all various stages of undone - there are plenty from which to choose, should I be in the mood. However, I just haven't been in the mood.
Then I spied a silly little stack of scraps on the corner of my sewing table. Leftovers from cutting out a 'still in progress quilt' they needed to be cut down to 1 1/2" strips and deposited in the appropriate box.
Instead I cut the strips and started a little project. Based on one of Lori Smith's Fat Quarter Quilts, I turned a smaller version of her piece into a block and made a little 4 block quilt. It was delightful to sit down at the sewing machine.I think now I have found the enthusiasm I needed to get back to this quilt - Fever. It languished on the sewing table all through the holidays . . . it has been pushed and shoved and doesn't look nearly as neat as this photo, but I think I can quickly organize it and get going. Goody!

Sometimes we need a little project to spur us onto a bigger one. Both are beautiful.

I was just getting ready to ask you about your Fever quilt. Your little quilt is so adorable. I like to throw in a quick small project once in awhile, makes it a little easier to tackle the big ones and also proves that I can actually finish something.

Oh, how fun! I haven't sewn a bit since my vest the first of Dec. and have GOT to get started on my 4 Seasons Quilt. But I haven't been in the mood, either.

I love the little "X" quilt. Reminds me of kisses, you know, from hugs and kisses (XOXOXOX). Maybe your Dear Hubby should get that quilt for giving you such a wonderful birthday breakfast! It's adorable.

What a marvelous little quilt! Boy, when you decide to come out of the quilting doldrums you come out with a bang! I'll have to see if I have that little quilt pattern by Lori. I find those colorful little "x's" intriguing!

It is so hard to stick to my plan to start nothing new when so many of you post such marvelous little quilts!

It's lovely Libby. The design is great the way it makes all the little X's

Doesn't it feel great to finish something? For some reason when I finish a UFO it gives me the "push" I need to finish something else.
