Check out the new digs.
No, we haven't found our new home just yet. But we did need to find a cozy place for Harper when we make the cross-country trek. She'll be traveling in style, sporting a new seat belt harness that will allow her to safely sit on the seat when she embarks on the 'queen mother of all car rides.' With her new collapsible crate, she'll sleep in her very own bed every night of the journey. A fresh supply of favorite snacks, food and water bowls for travel, our girl is ready for the open road.
I finished the punch needle project this week. As I punched, I got more and more comfortable with the technique. What a great way to get some near instant completed project gratification.
I will most likely finish it by framing.
I missed my 3 year blogging anniversary yesterday. I knew it was it was getting near, but had the 27th in my head for some reason. I'll throw a little belated celebration (giveaway) once the move is complete. At the rate we are going - it could be sooner than you think.

Harper looks ready and is probably thinking: "I'm ready now. Let's get this show on the road." On needle punch: there was a bag with some fabulous thread in it at the thrift store the other day so I bought it. When I got home the thread turned out to be for needle punch AND the needles were included. Since I have never done it, is it easy?

Love the punchneedle project. Of course, I'm an Americana lover so I would love it!

I'm a wee bit jealous of your garden. The veggies look lovely and I cannot imagine a pumpkin in July!

It's good that she's getting comfty in it too, that will be a long journey of dog friendly hotel rooms.

I really need to get some punch needle supplies so I can try this. I need to call a store and have them kit me up a small pattern with everything I need. No place here carries any of it any more. It looks great!

I like Harper's pad--it looks like a picnic tablecloth. When we moved from NM to NC, our other dog (named Libby!) rode in the front seat of my truck with me but mostly managed to slip out of her seat belt.

But the crate came in really handy at the motels, when we needed to be out running errands and actually moving into the house.

And now, Tandi prefers to sleep in that crate rather than on one of the beds. Guess she likes the coziness of it when we cover it with a blanket.

Happy blogaversary!

What a sweet project! I haven't done that technique in more years than I would like to remember. I may have to find those needles and start that up again. We're looking forward to you joining us here in New England. Harper looks like the trip will be comfortable! We're trying hard to improve the weather out here...hopefully we'll be finished with so much rain by the time you arrive - maybe you could bring some California sunshine with you!

WOW Harper will be traveling in style and such an adventure ahead. Cami was very confused the first few days at the new house and followed us everywhere all the time. It didn't take long tho and she found her favorite spots and settled in. Love your punch needle project. I think that's such a relaxing thing to do - note to self, more punch needle, lol.

Hugs - Karen

Hey Libby!

I stumbled across your blog - I'm the mother to a Libby! :o) She's seven months old and agrees that Libby is definitely the best nickname for Elizabeth by far!

Your Harper is adorable - happy traveling and glad to have met another Libby!
