Six weeks ago, I shared this photo as we prepared to put our house up for sale.
This morning we took one last look around the place we called home for 15 years before we locked the door front door one last time. The Princess says that it was losing its charm as we took out all of our things. It sure did look small once it was empty. We've left a blank slate for the new family. It's a great house - I hope they are as happy there as we have been.
The next time you hear from me, I'll be on the other side of the country. Stay tuned. Lot of new adventure to be shared.

Oh, wow, Libby. It does look a little sad in there now--but only because what we knew was there isn't any more. For the new family, I'll bet it looks full of promise.

Drive safely!

Well, all I can say is, Welcome to the East Coast!! And remember, - we all quilt the same ways east or west (or north or south)! :o)

God bless you on your new adventure. I look forward to reading all about your life on the east coast. I'd love to get out of California, not because I don't like it, but because I'd like to experience something different (like 4 seasons).
Blessings,
Marcia

Safe travels my friend. It was beautiful here in New England today-almost fall feeling. Starting to see a few orange and red leaves too. You'll love it.

I can see that your house definitely lost its charm when you took your things out. I will be anxious to see what you move into at the destination and how you make it your own.
Goodbye's are hard. I have done it more than once and it doesn't get easier.

Here to wish you and yours a safe journey as you travel across our great land to start the new chapter in your lives.

Your decorating alone would have sold the house;)
I hope you can find a place that you can call home when you come to our neck of the woods. Just remember, there is no such thing as an r in our vocabulary, lol.

It's kind of like reaching the last page of a great read. You've followed it to the end. Maybe you don't really want it to be the end, but it is. And so, with a contented smile and a determined set of your head, turn and go, to find your next adventure. Happy Trails Libby! *VBS* Big hugs, Finn

Well it's a bit like putting those last few stitches into a quilt binding - you don't quite want to finish it yet but on the other hand you can't wait to get started on the next creation. God speed for your journey and before you know it you'll have all those boxes unpacked and be settling comfortably into the next stage of your life

Have a safe trip out here. We've saved the good weather for your arrival and our best season, fall, is just around the corner! There's a great quilt show coming up in Nashua NH 11/5-8 - A Quilters Gathering - not far from where you'll be. Check out their website: www.aquiltersgathering.com - I'm sure it's going to be hard to leave California, but we're delighted you are joining us in New England!
