Krazy Kalifornia Kids?
Yes, that was us - the family that was out in the front yard, in our pajamas, taking pictures of Harper and the first snow of the year. She is completely un-phased. Hubby is cold. I am just mesmerized.

Maybe Harper has seen snow before and just didn't tell you about it. She's a sneaky gal. How old is she, by the way?

I was wondering if you got any. :) We got some too but it melted before it hit the ground

Wondered if you'd get snow today. We're supposed to get some too.

I thought about you yesterday and wondered after I saw the weather map. The first couple of snowfalls are a wonder. I'm not all that far from you and our trees are still nearly green. This is the weirdest fall. Most trees are only a little yellow-not my favorite of the fall colors. Get ready to hunker down Libby.
I like your new header!

Wonder how she will act when there is a lot and it's really cold? I love the snow - when I am inside and there is a fire going.....

Our dogs love the snow, when you get a few inches maybe then she will be impressed. She has the coat for it I think. She's a cutie!

Welcome to winter, glad it's in the Pacific NW yet! I love your new photo, perfect for this time of year. Please share more of those gorgeous colors with us!

Is Harper getting a thicker winter coat than she did in Cali? I hope her little body knows to pack on the fur for what's coming! LOL

Snow, already!!!??? Oh just you wait. Our sweet Tasha loved the snow. She would try to catch the flakes in her mouth and loved to roll in it. And would track big hunks of wet melting snow into the house every time she went out to do her business. Ah, yes, snow is so charming....in old Currier & Ives etchings at least. Report back in February, Lib.

I was so excited my first snowfall in New England...then wanted to know when it would stop, husband said April...ugh..it was only November...
enjoy...just remember that before you make snow angles to button up the flap on your longjohns.

Lol, that's how we are in So. Cal. aren't we? So excited when we get a little snow. Your pictures are beautiful, and how wonderful to be experiencing those Fall colors firsthand. I'm thrilled for you.
Blessings,
Marcia

My dog loves the snow and tunneling through it.

She has that "Hmmmm, what's all the excitement about?" look on her face. Can't wait to see her reaction when the snow gets a bit deeper...I always wonder what my guys would do in snow.

It's 58 degrees here, and I'm thinking it's a little too chilly for me! I love the tree picture on your blog header.

It's pretty to look at, but it's still not my favorite weather element. I enjoyed the walk to the P.O. Looks pretty and peaceful.

We had snow last week too Libby - it is has gone for now but probably will return all too soon.
However, one soon makes the adjustment to the differing temperatures. We were really excited when the temperature got up to 12 degrees Celcius ( I am guessing about 55 Fahrenheit).
Snow is beautiful- just not in October.
Hope all is well with you and yours.

Regards,
Anna

(please keep in mind, this is coming from a gal who was born and raised in the appalachian mts of pa, where snow moves in and makes itself at home for 6 months of the year): *ehh hmm*

Let's see how excited you are after a couple of looooooooooong, cold winters. :o)

You can enjoy for both of us, 'kay? ;o)

Thank you for sharing your life in New England, for taking us for a walk and showing the first snow. It snowed in Germany last week too but fortunately down south. I am not such a fan of snow!

Thanks for sharing the name of your new plant.
I never new that was it's name. I have just been
thinking about starting a flower garden handsewing
project. Haven't decided about the colors yet.
I'll be reading you blog. Bye and bye.
