All's quiet on the kitchen front - for today, anyway. Here's a look at how things looked at the end of Day 4.
The template has been made for the counter tops. Now we wait for that to be made and delivered in about 2 weeks. The flooring was delivered yesterday in the afternoon.
After a weekend of getting used to being with us, they will begin installation on Monday.
I spent the week trying to stay out of the way (and protect myself from the din) by stitching hexagons.
My plan is to now begin assembling them into a top. I have 31 diamonds. I think I'll want around 100 or so. I hope to end up with a queen-sized quilt. With at least another week of kitchen chaos and snow in the forecast, I should make a pretty good run at getting these together.

p.s. Please remember to check your reply status. I try very hard to respond to comments, particularly if a question is posed. If your settings are for 'no-reply' there's nothing I can do.

Great progress! I know how long these kitchen redos can take and how hard they are to deal with during. You'll love it when it's done. The hexies are coming along so you'll have something else to show for the remodel!

Oh, the new sink is pure heaven. And the black hutch adds such a delightful punch. You might have to put a braided rug or two on those new floors :-)

OK, I am loving the sink and that black cupboard. Nice tall cabinets too. I have tall cabinets and love all the storage. Time for a walk in this balmy weather!

Hexagons look wonderful too.

Things are looking good on both the kitchen and the hexis. I've got one star made and 2 diamonds. It's a "lifetime" project for me!

Wow, all these years that I have been making hexagon quilts(currently doing a honeycomb design) I have never seen the diamond pattern. Love it. Can't wait to see it completed.

We did our kitchen cabinets last year. Remember to breathe!

Blessings,
Jilly

Looking good! Is that a soapstone sink?

They seem to be moving along pretty quickly. What a relief!

I don't know how you stand all the disruption.
Good thing you have your hand work project...by the time the new kitchen is finished, you'll have the quilt top finished!
