A few more signs of spring . . . . dandelion polka dots in the grass.
The discovery of bleeding hearts in my own backyard.
Something I suspect is a weed found in abundance all around. I love the dainty yellow blooms.
This looks like it may well be creeping Charlie.
I wonder what I'll find next week?

I have 10 bleeding heart plants sitting in a greenhouse waiting to come to my home. Still too cold for them here. Now I'm REALLY jealous.....

I love bleeding hearts. I have many in my yard that were here when we bought the house 26 years ago. I had tulips come up this year in the middle of the lawn-go figure! I moved them to a garden.

I love those bleeding hearts! Pretty! That one with the yellow flowers isn't poison oak or ivy or anything like that is it?

Isn't it fun after a move to see each season in your own yard for the first time?

Wonderful plantings that you can enjoy. I grow a lot of weeds and poison ivy and sumac, lol.

Libby,
We have been very lucky and avoided the snowstorm that dumped a pile of snow in Calgary and other parts of southern Alberta this week.
I have some daffodils and tulips out in my flower beds blooming just now. The peonies are starting to come up as are the irises.
I love the first flowers of spring.
My little ones love dandelions- Teacher here are some flowers for you they will say. I love seeing the dandelions in their hands, they clutch them so earnestly!
Keep enjoying the signs of spring.
Regards,
Anna

Those bleeding hearts are beautiful...I'm one of those crazy people that just loves dandelions...I used to get so upset when my dad would dig them out of the lawn...I thought the lawn was so much prettier with the yellow flowers.

After 25 years in the same house, I know exactly what should be in the yard. But every once in a while, God pops up a new surprise for me.
