It's getting down to the wire! Time for those last minute preps. All the packages are wrapped and under the tree. Only things left to do are maybe a little baking and a last minute trip to the market for those fresh ingredients that you don't want on hand too soon. Oh . . . . and could we please get a little snow? If a California girl is not going to be living in California then the thing she wants most is a white Christmas. I'm just sayin'.
Daisy and I dropped off a little gift basket at the kennel where we go for daycare and all of our training and boarding. They are so sweet there, really love the pets and go all out for them. For example, they offered photos with Santa recently.
Didn't the picture turn out darling? I will have to remember that the photographer used a 'squeaky' to get her attention instead of food. No drooling!
With the sewing machine put away for the holidays, my stack of hexagon diamonds is getting larger by the day.
There are now 30 complete diamonds ready to be added to the top. Six more diamonds to go. Then I will need to baste what seems like miles and miles of the setting fabric and a few partial diamonds for the edges. It's getting very exciting. Does that make me a quilt nerd? I hope so.

Libby, you have inspired me to make a hexagon quilt with homespuns. DH got me the Accuquilt Go cutter for Christmas and I have been cutting some hexies to english paper piece on our trip to TN. I can't wait to see how your diamond hexies come out.

Merry Christmas

Your stack of hexagon diamonds is looking wonderful!
It's supposed to snow here starting tomorrow -- so I think we may have a white Christmas, although a lot of years we don't. As of right now, they're forecasting snow on Christmas day.

Are you having company for Christmas?
I think you should have snow and a sleigh and horse to pull you in it.

Daisy looks beautiful as always!

Squeaky is better than savory for photography, eh? Too funny!

The hexagon business is booming over there! I think that makes you a quilt lover, not a quilt nerd :)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Love Daisy's photo and the hexies, but also admiring the quilt on the table. I've been wanting to do that block for a while now. My DH just told me they are forecasting snow for us on Christmas Day. Two years in a row!

OMG Daisy and Santa...what a cute, cute picture! Your hexie diamonds are coming along wonderfully...can't wait!

I'd send you my snow if I could! Sounds like you are about ready for Santa to arrive. I haven't decided yet what to feed my bunch. If the snow keeps up they will have to settle for cookies, fudge, tortilla chips, canned tomatoes and rice since that's about all that's in the house at the moment. That santa photo is adorable.

Did you get snow? If not you can have some of ours. We got at least 10" on the Cape.
Love the homespun hexagon diamonds.
