Thank you to all that sent warm wishes and kept good thoughts for safe travel. Daisy and I have arrived safe and sound in California. We were greeted with a little bit of rain, sprinkles really, and today the sun shone brightly all day. Look at what we found on our walk at the beach today.
I do love those California poppies! The truck will be here tomorrow with our household goods. Lots of things to tend to in the coming days. I'll be back soon with lots of stories and probably some great photos, too.

Welcome back! I bet you're just so happy to be back home! I feel the same way about California as you do, I've lived here all 52 years of my life and really can't imagine living anyplace else.

I am glad you are back home, where you are happiest. I know I am too used to the northeast to live anywhere else.

Welcome home! The poppies in my backyard are all blooming and look great piled around the base of my severely cut back poinsettia. The avocado tree got its trim and we are having California rain--on and off--the best kind :)
