A is for Applique.
With some record setting warm temperatures for January this week, I decided to unearth my long neglected Folk Art Gathering project and head outside to stitch. I am very close to finishing Block 2. Let's keep fingers crossed that it doesn't take so long to finish Block 3!

I just completed the prep work on one of the blocks for a Baltimore Christmas. It is the first block to be stitched but I think is is #4 or 5 in the series. Nothing like doing things out of order. *grin*

What a great way to spend your time... get in some sun and stitching at the same time!!

I checked out the pattern and the blocks do look very labour intensive. But to be stitching in the sun and fresh air must be heavenly!

Own all 7 of them but haven't even taken them out of the packages. Maybe I could make that my official "hotel" project this year. That means some serious prep work the next few days but I think I can do it!

I can't say I abandoned Folk Art Gathering as I am not sure I ever started it. Or maybe a couple blocks. I have the patterns sitting out. You are making me think I need to investigate further and do some work on it.

And I thought you'd be sewing rings around me on our Folk Art Gathering project. I'm almost finished with block 2 myself...just have to applique down my woolen rabbit (no cats!) with the red winged black bird on his back. Shouldn't take me more than...hummm....a month or so ! LOL.

So nice to catch up with all you've been up to!
