Chilaquiles for breakfast.
Torta for lunch.
Flautas for dinner. It makes me no never mind at all. My all time favorite is cheese enchiladas, which I have never bothered to photograph because I am too busy eating them instead. There was a little place in the town where I grew up that set the standard -- sadly it has since gone out of business. But I am forever chasing the perfect cheese enchilada. Two local spots - here and here - come close. On the quilting front, I laid out some blocks on the design floor yesterday.
And I have started putting the rows together. Remember when The Quilt Pals visited me in Massachusetts? One of our adventures was at Old Sturbridge Village where there happened to be a quilt exhibit. Our Fearless Leader has recreated one of those quilts and now the rest of us are following suit. It's gonna be a big'un with a large border yet to come.
20 Had a little something to say:
Ditto on the Mexican food. Sadly, I am allergic to beans so my choices are limited. I learned to make a tasty enchilada from Dear Mom. Cheese or beef. Love the newest quilt.
All looks so good. Quesadillas are my all-time favorite but really anything Mexican will work!
Mexican is my favorite too!!
Love that quilt!!
Hmmmmmm....I love mexican food! My favorite food. Love the quilt!
Love, love Mexican food! That is going to be a gorgeous quilt.

OK -- how many times have we made those star blocks? By adding the corner pieces an entire new look is created... Wish I could think of things like that... Great colors....
I haven't been to Sturbridge in ages, should go back for a visit.

I am partial to stars, so this is one quilt I may have to put on my list of things to do. Very pretty. Can't wait to see it with your borders.
OMG..... now I'm so hungry....LOL... I tried to look at your quilt but I kept going back to the Mexican food... yummy!!!
Boy I sure love Mexican food too!
Your quilt is so pretty. Love everything about it.
Another beautiful quilt in the making! Love the colour palette....I don't have enough self control to make a pretty quilt like this :)
I could eat Mexican three times a day too :) A local restaurant chain has some pretty popular chile rellenos and their cheese enchiladas are pretty darn good.
I LOVE that quilt! Just a small tweak on a standard, well-loved block turns it into something new and lovely! I can't wait to see it with the border.
A gal after my own heart, Libby! When I lived in Colorado in the 70's they had the most incredible smothered burritos - no one has ever heard of them here! Your recreation is going to be a stunner!
Cheers!
My Mother was Spanish, so I grew up on it back home, any meal, every meal, even breakfast, Mexican sweet bread. Oh, I do miss that.
I'm not a Mexican food fan - Irish to the core - meat and potatoes! The quilt is wonderful and I'm sure is going to look fantastic when it's finished.
Yummy looking food! Can't imagine life without it - we had the best Mexican food in a restaurant called Domingos in Boron on the way to LV. Its probably out of the way for you, but if you ever get up there, its def worth a visit! They even had live music on Sunday while we were eating. Love your new quilt in the works!
YUM! I love mexican food too - I love corn spoon with it when I cook at home.
