P is for
Patchwork.

Which can apply to the back of a quilt just as easily as to the top. I went on a mission to finish up all the leftovers from piecing
the top I recently shared. Also used a fair amount of fabric that had been languishing in the cabinets for a good, long time. Apologies for the haphazard photography but I was trying to beat the coming rain.
Patchwork isn't always confined to quilts.

As evidence - my ironing board, which
I shared here four years ago. Covers are no longer available for this board. I suppose I could 'make' a new cover, but that just wouldn't tell the story that my patchwork cover does.
P is also for
Peaches.

Future peaches. This poor little tree has suffered a terrible pruning at the hands of someone who must have wanted to kill it. But it persevered and survived to produce fruit again. I will tend it with great care.
And, of course,
P is for
Puppies.

This one loves to move at the speed of light one minute.

And snuggle the next.
18 Had a little something to say:
Imagine having your own peach tree!?! That is the height of luxury for me!! Enjoy!
It is nice that we can piece all the pieces that we have no use for, great for backings;)
Debbie
Tell me about the colorful bottle tree.
I'm glad I'm not the only one to let their dog on the leathe couch, they are so darn lovable!
My, my, my someone really butchered that tree. We have oodles of peach trees here (no, Georgia may claim to be The Peach State but SC has more peaches per capita!) and I don't think I have ever seen one that disfigured.
Just love using up fabric on the back. Justifies the purchase after so many years lingering in a box!
Resourceful use of fabric for your backing and especially for your ironing board cover :-) That looks like stuff in my house! Love peaches too but my favorite of your 3 P's is the puppy. Daisy is one gorgeous pooch! Enjoy your popcorn today :-)
I love your bottle tree pictured. I piece a LOT of my backs, so many that I am rather disappointed when I have an all-one-fabric back, it's not nearly as interesting to me!
Patchwork ironing board cover is hilarious! Great job on using up the old stuff to create an interesting backing. Of course puppies are always the cutest :)
Oh your little peach tree that 'could' will bless you with peaches for tending it with loving care. :) I tell you, Libby, that pup is just the CUTEST girl EVER!!
yummmmm....peaches!
I think the letter "P" is my favorite so far *VBG*
The backing has as much character as the front.....But not at cute as that Pup...
Love the pictures of Daisy ... just *hate* to see a puppy so unhappy...LOL DH fancies himself an arborist ... some of our trees bear scars of his attempts at pruning. Fortunately they have all survived. Love all kinds of fruit trees in a yard, especially cherry trees.
I love a pieced back. I did one where DH liked the back better than the front. go figure! good way to get rid of "less attractive" fabrics in your stash.
Hey, how about our boy MONDO??? two in a row. YeaHHHHH! good riddance to sad sack Mila. If she cracked a smile, I think her face would crack. LOL
fun post
love the dog shots, how true!
My 2 year old chocolate lab is the same way - go go go
crash
ok this just cracked me up! love that ironing board cover :)
great backing I am also using what I have lately for backs. Piecing one is on my list to do someday from the scrap basket.
Daisy just is full of energy....
