Daisy Update
After another day at the vet's office yesterday for IV fluids and meds, I picked Daisy up at the end of the day (our vet's office is not staffed 24 hours)  She was not as perky nor was she interested in food like she was the first night.  We settled in for the night on the air mattress on the living room floor.  I worried.  She slept.
This morning she just seemed weak but was resting comfortably.  I loaded her up and was waiting at the vet's office when they opened.  They helped me get her in the clinic, checked her temp and blood pressure which were both fine *whew*  I had a good talk with the vet this morning (after some sleep, I think I was better able to hear and understand what he was trying to explain to me)
The bottom line is that she is a VERY sick girl and we don't know why.  We are waiting for test results that should be in tomorrow to figure out exactly what we are dealing with and how we can handle it.  Tonight I will pick her up and take her to a 24 hour hospital so she can remain on fluids and be monitored overnight.  While the house is quiet without her there will be peace of mind that she is being cared for - possibly allowing for a bit more sleep for me.
All of this is not the best news, but is not the worst news either.  Stay tuned  . . . .

Keeping you all in my prayers. My heart goes out to you. This waiting and unknowing is so hard. I'm glad to hear she will get the overnight support. It does make a big difference. I'm hoping for good news for you soon. Get some rest today. She is in good hands.

I agree that Daisy needs to have 24hour medical care, keep thinking good thoughts for a full recovery.

Hi Libby, Glad Daisy will be cared for tonight so that you can get some sleep. Still praying that there is a simple answer that med's can treat. Sending healing thoughts to her and you.
Hugs, Noreen

Daisy will be just fine getting loads of care and hugs. Tell Big A that YOU need loads of care and hugs .... and that a margarita and nachos wouldn't hurt!

I am glad that you can take her to a place that will watch her around the clock. I hope the tests show something that can be treated and get her feeling better.

just catching up on the blogs, grandkids here, so sorry to here about Daisy......hope test results come back soon with better news.....had a cat that just took a turn for the worse, did the 24 hr care, then extended vet stay, never knew for sure the reason but he's still healthy & happy today, but it's a tough, emotional road.....

So sorry you had a bad night and Daisy isn't better. I'm glad she'll be staying in the hospital overnight. She needs the 24 hour care and you need to get some rest to deal with the worry involved with a sick loved one. Take care and know that we're all sending positive thoughts and prayers Daisy's way.

I hope that the 24-hour care and what is obviously the best care you could hope to find for her helps them get to the bottom of this and get her on the road to recovery.
I'm thinking of you and Daisy.
