The Dog Days of Summer are upon us . . . in more ways that one.  Larkin joined our family on Sunday.  It was a long and confusing day for such a little squirt that involved her first ride in the truck, a new house, new food, new toys and a CRATE!  I keep reminding her (and me) that she will come to view that crate as her special refuge.  In the meantime we are all coping as best we can.
For example,
Larkin could go to her crate to escape the dreaded vacuum.  It won't be long before she just won't fit under the ottoman anymore.
Right now we are escaping the heat by spending time out on the patio.  I'm catching up on reading blogs and emails.

And the little critter is napping in the shade of the patio table.  It won't be long before she is completely recharged and we will be having a romp in the yard.  I hope that Daisy is watching over us with an approving wag of her tail.

She is so sweet, she seems to have a calmer disposition, or is she just tired, lol.

Our pets up in heaven look down and not only approve, but applaud when we adopt another; they already know how much love and dedication will be lavished upon a pet! I firmly believe that. I am happy for you, your family, and Larkin, because of those who have gone before, there is love to be given and one happy pup to be on the receiving end who will love back unconditionally too. Hugs~

She is so adorable - that face will keep her out of trouble even when she's in trouble lol. Puppies are exhausting - but they bring with them so much love that it's worth all the work. Daisy is smiling I'm sure :)

I know Daisy is happy that you have doggy love back in your life. Larkin looks like a little, at this point, handful. Like babies, they make puppies super cute so you don't try to send them back! LOL! good luck with the training.

Hi there, Just saw your cutie-oh what a beauty. I started giving Hunter special treats every time he goes in his crate and now he loves it. He actually goes in it by himself. Your pup will get used to it.
