Nailed it!  Last week I used a Groupon to treat myself to an appointment at a new Blow Dry Bar in town.  On my own, I can put my hair in a braid, I can even manage a French braid - but the fish tail braid is one I've never tried.
I liked the result and went to YouTube for a tutorial so I could learn to recreate it on my own.

Some things are just best let to the professionals

Practice, practice, practice ... I like the look on you! My hair is too "thin" to be long ... I keep it short so that it is a curly mop on my head ... wasn't in style in the 60's either ... LOL

Hmmmm - - - I used to do fish tail braids on my girls when they were small, but I don't think I could do it on myself. Keep at it, maybe you'll get the hang of it!

Absolutely! Luckily my professional is related to me. Thanks for the laugh.

thank you for today's chuckle! A bit more practice and I have no doubt you'll master this skill :-)
Me, I'm ready to give up on the old lady bob and cut it all off!

LOL it is way harder to braid on your own head than if you did someone elses. I can do my daughter's but could never do it to my own head.

I can't do a braid on my head at all! On my pony tail, but never on my head, press on! You are already way a "head" of me!

French braid straight down the back I can do --- But I would love to be able to do the funky side braids or the braids that almost wrap around.... So many pretty styles out there.

I've tried and tried and just can't do it. My hair is so thick, my arms get tired halfway down and I give up.

Your hair looks beautiful and shiny! Did you read what Michele at Heart and Hands did to her hair?
